Beta Testing

 

A group of nurses from across the country volunteered to beta-test the MAP during the Oncology Nursing Society 2014 Congress.  One week following the conference, a survey was sent to each of the volunteers.  Revisions made from suggestions by MAP beta-testers include: offering the MAP in both printable and editable formats and providing pre-conference access.  All respondents acknowledged that they were likely to use the MAP in future educational events.

 

Conclusions

 

Participation in educational events is a fundamental part of continuing education.  Attendees who use the MAP can easily transform gained knowledge and personal enthusiasm into doable actions.  The MAP project will continue to gather data on motivation, action planning, and outcomes through continued use of the tool by education event participants and planners.
